WHAT ARE THE DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROUTE OWNER?
The route owner is responsible for servicing the route and ensuring that product is well stocked and maintained for the stores. Route owners will order, deliver and stock product accordingly. Busier stores do require service seven (7) days per week between deliveries and merchandising/restocking work. There is flexibility in the days and hours as long as the customers are being serviced properly.
GROSS EARNINGS/COMMISSIONS
The route averages approximately $24,500 per week in gross sales. Based on the 19% commission rate the route generates approximately $4,400 per week in gross revenue.
OPERATING COSTS
Typical expenses include gas/fuel, insurance, storage and some lost inventory. Other costs will vary from owner to owner depending on their travel costs and how they choose to run the business. The current owner estimates roughly $300 per week in operating expenses.
GROWTH POTENTIAL
The current owner is operating the route seven days per week including merchandising/restocking work. Busier accounts do require service seven days per week. Other accounts can be serviced as necessary.
