Route currently requires approximately 4-5 hours per day during the fall/winter months and 8-9 hours during the spring/summer. However, the current owner can only do 6-8 accounts per day due to his health…the amount of time necessary might be cut in half with a new owner if they can do 10+ per day. Route can be ran 4 or 5 days per week depending on owner preference.

Owner charges most customers $155/month which includes one service visit per week. Each service visit takes approximately 30 minutes. Each customer requires approximately $50 of chemicals/supplies per month which puts the owners net earnings at around $100/month per customer. One time service calls from other customers are charged at $85/hour. Repairs are on a case by case basis but 100% product markup is not unheard of for any parts/materials and the service call charge is added as well.

The route is currently averaging approximately $11,800 in weekly sales. Arnold and Thomas’ brands are paid at 18%, Sara Lee and Ball Park are paid at 16%, Bimbo is paid at 15% and Private Label is paid at 12%. Arnold and Thomas’ are around 80%-90% of sales. Gross income per week is estimated at $1,985 which is an annual gross of $103,220. The current owner has costs at $255 per week which leaves them with an annual net income of $89,960.
